Oppose the Performance Tax

We the undersigned citizens oppose performance tax legislation, specifically S. 379 and H.R. 848.  A performance tax would put thousands of American radio jobs at risk, send hundreds of millions of dollars to internationally-based record companies and threaten the continued existence of valuable, local radio stations. This proposed tax would hurt local radio stations, stifle new artists and harm the listening public who rely on free local radio.  We urge Congress to reject S. 379 and H.R. 848.
