Privacy Policy (Advocacy)

General

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only your domain name, operating system, and Web browser version, but not your email address.

Throughout the Web site we do ask you to voluntarily supply information to NAB. The information we collect** is used to improve the content of our Web site, used to notify users about updates to our Web site, and used by us to contact users for purposes related to NAB advocacy campaigns. We also store data related to the pages that individuals visit on the site and the actions they take, such as those individuals who email a letter to Congress.

If you supply us with your postal address, it is used exclusively to match you with your elected representatives for the purposes of an advocacy campaign.  Your address will not be sold or shared for any purpose, and will be used only as it relates to NAB advocacy campaigns.

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers may receive telephone contact from us with information regarding the advocacy campaign or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such telephone calls from NAB, please let us know by sending an email message to us at privacy@nab.org. Please provide us with your correct phone number.

The Web site may from time to time offer additional features so you can get engaged with the campaign, such as “Share Your Story.”  In these instances, your submission of information through the site grants NAB the permission to post your story on the site.  In all instances where you provide content, only your first name, last initial, hometown, and state will be displayed on the Web site.  Never will your last name or email address be shared publicly, unless you grant us permission.

We may contact you by email with information and updates related to NAB advocacy campaigns or to check the accuracy of the information you provide. When we contact you by email, all email campaigns from NAB will contain instructions and/or hyper-links to Opt In or Opt Out (unsubscribe) of our email lists.
